My affiliate marketing journey began with the purchase of this product called the Ultimate Wealth Package created by Mark Warren.
The sales pitch page was almost flawless, although I did not purchase the product immediately, I deliberated on the decision for 2 weeks. I came to a realisation that if I did not even attempt to do this, I might be cursing myself in the future if someone else that I know made it big online.
So, the journey begins...
Initial Cost
US$49.95
The Good
Like I said the sales pitch was good. Really good. I was taken in by all the promises, the benefits, the dreams, the luxury, and it all seems so within reach if I buy this product. Little did I know.
They promised a Free website as a Bonus, which was perceived at $299 in value. The UWP e-book consists of about 30 pages, gave an overview on how to make money online. Included are some of the methods including Affiliate Marketing, E-Products etc.
They also provide a few more e-books specially on E-bay, Affiliate Marketing, Blogging, Wholesale, MySpace, and a few others. Most of the books gave an overview of the industry. Good. For the intermediate affiliate.
For newbies like me.... Baaad.
The Bad
I mentioned that they gave a free website which was hosted under a free domain. However, they are also selling another up-sell, which is a website complete with your domain name, which also provides a lot more other 'benefits' like Control Panel to view your stats, edit your layout and others. The point is, you can't do much with the free website, unless you upgrade to the one that they have put up for for $30,ooo. (Btw, I am getting sick of this perceived value thing. I know its a marketing ploy but, aww come on)
Anyway, the cost for the Not-So-Free Site plus webhosting and all = US$120/year
This is what I got, my own domain, what the industry would call a 'landing page'.
The Ugly
The whole e-book was simply an overview. That's that. I was hoping for something that can hold me by the hand and really show me the know-hows, but all I get was simply, ok listen, to get traffic you have to do this and this, to get free traffic, you need this and that. Well, one has to go sniffing through the labyrinth like a mouse searching for some cheese. The more you got entangled in the Web, the more you struggled to get out of it.
The Verdict
Information : 5/10
Usability : 8/10
Profitability : 2/10 (That depends on individual effort and investment)
Total Purchase : U$170 = S$272
I only got ONE sale so far from this website, in fact my ONLY sale so far. Yeah, I know, pathetic. Anyway if you insist on visiting this site, and read their sales pitch, do check it out from HERE.
P/S: Since I have already bought this knowledge and information, I would really like to share it with your guys, however, I can only do that if you email me and request for more information on this product. Fyi, I have even compiled a Free Review on UWP, and for those lucky ones I might even throw in a few chapters for FREE.
